WARN 2000 winch Help Needed...
#1
I have a warn winch question?
I was given a warn 2000 winch from a friend who said it didn't work. I tried it by putting power ot it and the motor did not turn. I took it apart and it was gunked up inside. I cleaned it and now the motor turns. The gear box gear assembly was rusted up and clogged as well. I need to know how much and what type grease I should use in the gearbox.
Thanks for any and all help.

Warn Industries uses a special type of grease inside their winches called Arrowshell 17, buy it's not readily available to the public. Try doing a search over the internet and you might get lucky and find someone that carries it. If no luck, you should use a grease that is a high moly EP base type. You could also call Warn at (800) 543-9276 and they should be able to stir you in the right direction.
