Ride them All first then you decide. I rode both of them and more then I bought the 650 it was a no brainer. Just ride them all first and the truth will overcome.I run the local ATV club so I get to ride all the big 4x4s . One size does not fit all its all about how and were you ride. P.S. sold a 660 to get the 650 it fits me .Some like to lead some follow.

If you are close to Windrock in Oliver Springs, Tn, go look in the parking lot. Way more 500 and 600 Sportsmans than Grizzlys. I think you'd be real happy with the 600. From all the posts I've read, all the guys seem to really love em. There is a Polaris dealer down in Chattanooga that has some awesome prices, you should check him out.

Definetly go with the Polaris 600! What a smooth engine and ride. I have heard that the grizz is a lot louder and idles a little rougher. I haven't ridden the grizz, but I am extremely happy with my 600.

Grizzly or Prairie both are great machines. The Polaris 600 really is'nt in the same class as the Grizz or Prairie, the Polaris 700 is closer but not close enough.

I would go with the grizzly of the choices you gave me......but if i was getting one it would probably be a rincon. Im sure the grizzly is a good machine though.

I was in the same situation. I previously owned a Wolverine and wanted a big 4x4. Like you I narrowed my choices down to the same two. I have friends that have polaris's. There was likes and dislikes about both. Definately try to ride both and then you can decide. Don't fall prey to the reliability issues. They all have their own issues. You have to decide what your own personal preferences are. It took me a long time to decide. Because I liked them both alot. All the local dealers (10) were tired of seeing me. I finally made the decision on the one that suited me based on the kind of riding I like. I am more geared toward the sport end of atv riding. I felt the 660 fitted me the best. So far the Grizzly has been AWESOME. The power, speed, ability to climb HUGE hills unreal. Only you can decide!!!!!!

I think they are both sweet machines. I have a 600 and my good friend has a grizz. He bought his in December and I just bought mine in April. Ive rode his quite a bit and there are some differences. The grizz feels faster off the start but mid and top end are about the same. The grizz is also slightly better at a strait hill climb. One thing that we both notice is the grizz isnt very stable on side hills. Very tippy. Mud and loose dirt the Polaris has a slight advantage, probably because of the stock tires on the Sportsman are pretty grabby. Both of the quads are great I dont think you could go wrong with either one. As for the 2 quads not being in the same class I have to dissagree, I guess everyone has there own opinion but if you read any review you will see the 600 and 700 sportsman are exactly the same in every aspect other than 3 to 4 MPH top end. Bottom line you just need to feel them out a bit see which one is you.

3TV,
I will try to come down sometime soon and go on that ride. It looks like a blast. How often do you guys go? Let me know and I will make the drive. We are located in Price and do most of our riding around here, but that looks awesome. If you ever get over this direction let me know and we will go ride the Devils Racetrack. It is about 65 miles round trip and will take most of the day. It is a fun ride with a couple difficult spots, but more than anything just a great view ride.
