Your probobly bottoming the suspension out. "popping" A shock is the least of the problems this can cause. You can tweak or break you frame if you do it to hard. If you are bottoming out you are clearly jumping it too high. You need to slow down or change the angle of your jump. That bike isn't built for jumping and continually doing so will probobly ruin it.

snorkles stick about a foot above the quad so you can go deep. you cant submerge the air intake. engines cant breath water. they need air. as long as the top of the gas tank is out of the water makes no sence. the air intake needs to be above the water. hence the name, air intake. it cant intake water. quads arent ment to go off jumps ar go in the water unless you set it up to.

Trust me, I FULLY understand all of the principles on how an internal combustion engine works. I should have worded it so it could be understood by everyone. My intake is between the frame upper tube and the gas tank. It then runs up and between the steering stem and front off the gas tank. Therefore if my tank is above the water I'm fine.
