Very cool web site!!

 

back when i was a kid, i had a wombat 125. bought it with my own $$ and everything. i took it out to my uncles house to ride it and he " adjusted" the carb for me... well it seized up very shortly after. i was heartbroked [ and pissed] thinking he blew it up.

but now with all my adult knoweledge [ haha ] i know it was something else as it stuck tapped wide and i believe he turned the air screw [ idle]

man, i wish i had some pics., she was a be-ute.

 

I had a buddy with one of those...Very sweet looking and usually reliable machines...Did you ever forgive your uncle?

 

Yup, I also had a Hodaka Combat Wombat 125. Chrome gas tank, army green air cleaner box. I was 13 or 14 or so and it was way too scary for me when I first got it. I had traded up from a CT70 - Honda Trail 70 1969 or 1970. Good times that was 30 years or so ago . . . . .

 

Cool my first bike was a wombat 125 road that thing to death.

 

Here's my wifes race bike. 1973 Hodaka Combat Wombat with full restoration done 2 years ago.
