I'm up that way a couple times a month. I live in Apple Valley and ride out from my back door!

Prolly be up there more now that it's gotten hot. I went riding sunday in south hesperia (aka: honda Valley) and within 2 hours I was back home with the AC on.

Howdy Chris.
So you ride to Big Bear right from your place? Cool! Are the trails up there as neat as I hear? I'm in 29 Palms, some tall pine trees sound good.

outlawd-This time of year, I ride somewhere in the local mountains at least every other weekend. And the Sierras around Bishop/Mammoth, and Pismo when I can.

Some fire roads, some 4X4 trails, and lots of great single track bike trails.

You cant take the truck on the atv or dirt bike trails. There's both fire roads and ATV trails for us. There is plenty of trails to do up there. Some are 2wd family cruise type stuff others you need lockers and some in between.

Do a web search of the various 4x4 clubs in SoCal. I'm sure that you can find some pics on the web of the trails.

Every year there is a big Jeep trail ride up there.
