It was a fun day. We all know how much fun I had, don't we .... Sorry...........
I never get that mad, maybe that's why I was so mad. I even got over it, for a minute. When I thought about it on the way home, PO'd me even more. These guys that have to make a pissing match and hate quad riders should just be ran over by a Rincon . To me there is no place for that on the track whether it's racing or practice. Especially when we are courteous to them and move out of their way, all the time.
Let me say first, I don't know what the answer is, so I don't know what can be done. I do have some ideas. But I don't think the answer is to ignore it and let these guys get away with it when it happens. Because like some said, they'll keep doing it. Of course I don't want to fuel that fire, BUT I ALSO BELIEVE WE SHOULDN'T IGNORE IT, TO ME THAT IS JUST AS BAD. Of course they will keep doing it if we let them. That said, I won't whine any more. I know most don't agree with me, but I at least wanted to voice my opinion. If I don't like it, I also don't have to go to these things. Which I won't anymore. Enough said from me.
===========
Now to happy thoughts... As always, it is just fun to go riding with this group of people (which helped calm me down today, thank you)(opinions may have changed about me though ).
Put me on a sport bike, and Happa suddenly isn't the (self proclaimed) slowest on the track any more he he..
My hats off to all you Sportie riders, those are tough to ride on tracks like this, much less the trails. My Rinny definately isn't the best out there, but at least the suspension kinda helps.
===========
NOTE TO SELF: Next time let Happa follow me home. Or, have a good map and don't turn your blinker on to exit the freeway until Happa has already commited to taking the off-ramp LOL. Also, run fast to the restroom so as to beat......uuuhh...never mind......

2mny,
I'm glad you know we were serious about coming to get you. It's no fun to have something go wrong and have to cancel your plans. We'll getcha next time. We could have had a party if we all had showed up. On a good note, just think of it this way, no damage to the body or quad was done today LOL (maybe not that funny). Which at that track, was definately possible.......... Even Dinger came out of it unscathed, I think!!

RaptorChick,
Hi Lisa,
Ash (she'll have to come with a nickname now, maybe WoundedKnees LOL) wanted to tell RacerX thanks a bunch. She had fun riding with today. She was dissappointed I rushed her out of there and didn't get to say good-bye, my boo boo. She was very glad she didn't have to ride by herself. On the ride over there Ash asked if that was who was coming, I told her I wasn't sure. Had temporary brain fade and didn't connect the fact they met at the Pizza Fest. DUH!! She was glad that's who it was and wants to go riding again. I could hardly pull here away to leave today. We'll get together sometime where they can ride again. Thanks a Bunch.

Well driving through the parking lot, sound check area and looking at riders stopped on and around the track with helmets off I came to a definite conclusion, I think I was the oldest person out there
According to my count we consisted of 25 quads with 28 people total, that's $500.00 the Puget Sound Area Riders contributed to the track. I'm proud of the showing we made and if we make the same showing come race day, they can't help but put on this race yearly, I just wish it would be more than one race a year.
Talking to the "Over The Bars Gang" representatives that is what I got out of the conversation, but I was in such a hurry to abuse myself by making one last lap on the GP course, which turned out to be 2, even though half way through the second one, I parked the Rappy on the side of the course, legs over the bars, laying down on the seat resting my weary bones, was visited by Roger, Pete and even YoDaddy stopped by to say hi, the rest of our group just dusted us as they roared by
It was great to finally meet TechTip and AdamBomber (BigHonda/BigYamaha) and spend time with you two.
Thanks to Loki and Yodaddy for the tips on riding the track, jumps and whoops, it really helped me throughout the day.
Had a great time, great conversation throughout the day, and the most useful tool of the day goes to Sandbomber, his sharing of the rubber mallet to knock caked on mud off the quads was a must

What a way to abuse ones self, but it feels so good. If I could ride a Goldendale GP track once a month I just might end up in decent shape and maybe even improve Cheechspeed, or just hook to King any of the times that he flew by my. Thanxs to Larry and Val for the ride and to Kevin and Dinger for hanging with my slow and sore a$$. It was good meeting the people that I had not yet met (Bing, Techtip, Adambomb, Joelrichard, Loki, and Sean) Thanxs again for the abuse, can't wait till the big race.

Old is as old does.
Old people dont ride quads. Young people ride quads.
I take my hats off the the seasoned riders in our group (no need in mentioning them all),,,,,I hope I am able to ride for a good long time.

I'll try not to get too deep into the bike verus quad roosting incident, but this is my take on the whole matter. I was on the extreme right side of the track on a long straight away when the bike passed me on the right side scaring the crap of me, then passed Quad4fun on the left side pulling in front of him roosting him with a blip of the throttle, then he was gone.
The guy was being a AZZ HOLE but, we're on their turf, I'm sure they feel intrusion, and face it, two wheelers aren't in love with 4 wheelers. They've been riding there for 3 years, when these guys practice, they pratice just like they race, as does alot of our group, and in racing you'll have guys pull right in front of you and give it to you in the face.
All day I saw only one and never heard of any other incident between quads and bikes, that's what I would call a good day of getting along with each other. I always held my line and if anybody wanted to pass they went for it. I was roosted by a couple of dirtbikes on the MX portion, and even by King when I was right behind him. Probably pay back from when I roosted him while he was taking his tinkle break at Beverly
I don't want to take anything away from Sean as to what happened, but that's racing and even in practice it's a get out of my way or I'll run you over or roost you mentality. You must go into these events knowing this is gonna happen and it will never change, Boys will be Boys. You must put on your game face, bring your brass ***** and toughen up your skin because when these boys come from miles away and spend the kind of money they spend on these events, they don't like to play around, this is serious stuff for most out there.
One jerk out of all that were there, that's a great ratio, and that same guy passed me again on the MX portion and was kind to me in his passing, heck maybe he just had a brain fart or something who knows. I'm just glad nobody slapped me on the back of the helmet as they wizzed by me
