Thanks for the information, I don't know exactly what we're doing yet, if we don't make it down there during your trip, we'll see what we can do for the April trip. Saturday in two weeks looks good for Beverly, with the work party I'm attending this Saturday, can't ride Sunday, but the following Saturday looks good.

Couldn't come up with a chainsaw for Saturday, but wondering if a beefy gas powered weed wacker would be of any use on the trail? The shelter and snacks sounds great on the trail, and I'll bring both of my polaski's plus the weed wacker, if you think it would be of any use. I go to Canada on Tuesday, so you know how long of a day that will be.
Talk to you later

HappaRap, Yeah, I do think the weedwacker will be useful. Does it have a blade? If so, attach that thing (lot's of salal ya know). Have a safe trip there and back. Jeesh, hope the weather is good for you in the Great White North!
The Washington State Quad Riders will be hosting a work party in the Tahuya on Saturday Dec. 13th at 9:00 am. We will be meeting at the Sand Hill Gravel Pit. We will be putting a longer day than usual (about 6 hours), so we will be serving a lunch and beverage at the halfway point. The goal will be to finish the Salmon Trail re-route and clean up the Mission Creek Trail between the Salmon Trail and Goat Ranch Road. (remove the roots and stumps and slot and drain all those dang puddles) The best tools for the job are polaski's and chainsaws if you got em'. We will have a small assortment available if you don't have any.

We are going to Florence April 12-18th. When are you going? We'll be doing day trips to Coos Bay and Winchester on the 12th and 13th until the 14th when the rest of the club arrives. We'll be staying at Driftwood II.

welcome to the tread supergumby. just a thought... paddles are not a must have for the dunes, my first two trips i used stock knobbie tires and did fine, just be careful not to go somewhere you can't get out of. get used to your quad & how it handles on trails before juping on a MX track, and when you do... take it easy & remember to ride within your abilities. the nearest MX track to you is in Port Angeles, i'm not sure when but i think jeff graves was going to try & put to gether a quad practice day there... it's a great track for beginner & advanced racers.
the pizza feed was great, nice to meet you all! now if i remember who's who, it'll be a miracle... i'm bad with names.

Loki and I will be at Florence April 8-12. We are supposed to be hooking up with about 8-10 other people (not on the forum) down there that weekend as well, maybe more. We are going to be in the H-loop at Honeyman. We also plan on making a day trip to Winchester while we are there, not sure which day though.
We are also trying to plan a trip to St. Anthony's the last weekend of August.

OOOOOOH, keep me posted on St. Anthony's, I've been dying to go there. Just to add to the we'll probably miss you at the dunes file: I have vacation the second week of July, and the club is planning to go to the Jamboree in Wallace on the 12-15th, so I'd love to hit the dunes the 4 days before that. Those videos of Choke Cherry are HAIRY! Good Stuff!
