its all good, i just have to put in my new tie rod and im back up and running. it was my fault for going to fast and then hitting my front brakes while hitting a soft hill. no worries, im ok and the bike is ok [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Good to hear that all of my buddies here on the ol PSAR chime in are okay. I heard about a big wreck on snoqualmie pass testerday that involved RV's towing ATV's. Anyone know who was involved in that wreck? Just one of many wrecks on Saturday according to the news.

i dont think any of our group was involved, all of the people that said they were going showed up. it was a fun time, no real carnage just a taco'ed tierod on my ds, but thanx to glen i have a spare.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

SkLLz; Whatever the group wants to do is fine with me, I'm easy, just not cheap. If nothing else we can run the quads up by the range. But if the majority wants to just do the shoot, that works for me too.

 

got the engine installed, the Easter bunny was pretty good to Brandon, we installed it as a family. What a holiday huh? Got out to granny's place, put up with the typical BS, ate a lil, bounced out before my worthless sisters opened thier poop holes.

Anywho, I've got a petcock issue. no fire in the fiddy yet, we will see what I get done tonight and tomorrow.

 

Did ya'll see that fatal accident in Shelton between the Suburban hauling the quads on a trailer and the oil tanker? The mother and boyfriend driving the Suburban crossed the center line, hit the tractor trailer head on, 8 yr old girl in the back survived, mother and boyfriend were killed. They were from Port Angeles, one of their quads was upright in the middle of the road, really nasty.

 

I've ridden that race a few years... If it's in Odessa again... just tell him to remember "Still water runs deep" and don't ride your bike across the water crossings... Keep the bike running and motor it across the water while walking along side it... if he does drop the bike in the water, get it out on the other side, hold the bike on it's front wheel and have someone crank it over to get the water into the pipe... then rotate the bike so the water goes out the pipe... He'll be able to get'er started in a short while...

I passed 50 or so people mired in the water... some people still fishing for their bikes...

Don't lead the start of the race... dried up creek beds are hidden by the brush, large rocks are hidden by the brush... pick a fast rider and follow them... once they bite it, find another. A bunch of people were airlifted to Spokane on the poker run because the course allows for high speed in some sections... It has some tough sections, but it's all doable.

I'd come across people that bit it hard... bike all twisted up like a pretzel from hitting a rock... seeing a guy rolling around in the bushes... Guys in orange vests riding around to aid the injured...

The vantage course was kinda difficult at times... going 60-70 mph across basalt rock was easier than going slow... it was like riding across ball-bearings.

I had a lot of fun out there... You guys have fun, be careful and enjoy yourself!

 

Happa; My wife was on the first ambulance on the scene. It really rattled her to see the kid's quad in the middle of the road and the Suburban towin' the trailer crushed. The parents were not even reachable, but the kid was flown to Harborview just to be on the safe side. Barb said it appears the Suburban crossed the centerline and hit the tanker. Not good all around.
