I dont think i will be runnin that pokerun. I ride to fast and not enough places to pass. terrain is fun though. Tight narrow rutted traversing steep hillsides. there are few trails that are hazardous to no experts if takin the wrong direction. generally its pretty easy goin. most of the trails are red clay, beutiful country up there. can be long stretches of puddle jumpin. and i suspect they will run the route thru some of em. in the near future once i manage to get my quad back home i will be riding capitol almost everyweekend one day or the other as long as my quad stays together [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

I'm in S.Everett/Silver lake. My buds & I usually ride at GraniteFalls/Monroe/Walker. We have a big group heading down to Winchester/Honeyman state park 4/6-4/12. Anyone from here goin at that time?

 

Im planning on doing the Evans Creek ride, since Ive been giving Larry crap about not going up there yet.

One of the guys I work with used to belong to the jeep club that does trail maint. up there and he and a buddy of his are thinking of joining us. Pete, the guy I work with knows the trails up there alot better than I do.

There is a road that connects the lower staging tothe upper staging area. Just remember, that if you stage at upper staging, you have only two choices where to go. Either back to lower staging (and theres alot of trails out of there) or up to the campground, which offers a beautiful view of the mountain, if its clear. But that route is extremely techical.

This time of year, with the moisture is going to make for some interesting riding. Hopefully the jeepers have already been through there and taken all of the windfalls out of the way. With the recent snowfall, Evans Creek may even be under snow. It may be work checking out before we all haul our rigs up there.
