I found this story in another thread. It's going to be a "SAD DAY". This is what they want & this is what WE will get, because of PEOPLE that can't control themselves ........

Grant County sheriff seeks sand dune alcohol ban
Sorry to say Jim, but until every single person who goes there behaves in a responsible manner, I'll have to agree with the guy from the Columbia Basin Sand Commandos.
Maybe I didn't make myshelf clear on this issue....I'm all for whatever it takes to control the IDIOTS that can't control themselfs......I just think it's sad to waste good "tax dollars" on police to BABYSIT people who claim to be GROWN-UPS.......

As for these gas prices i don't think they'll ever go down JMO unfortunetly w/ inflation blah blah blah i just see it staying high for some reason that'll be cutting peoples vacations, racing, ect short I bet!!!!
ummm, yeah... my brother & i are really stretching it to go to goldendale this weekend and idaho in 2 weeks for the WORCS races. then the team race on the 1st..... i'm goin broke fast & starting to question the whole racing thing.
If we are still on for the team race, I can haul four quads and 4-5 people total. We group up as a team and cut some cost, it would be good.
i'm still in, we'll have to work out the details for quadpooling closer to the race.

Yep BigD, that is true.

That's the way I took your first post, frustrated and saying we all are penalized for the idiots out there.

So true. Whether it drinkers, trespassers, or rule breakers.
We all pay the price for inconsiderate, poor excuses for human life, helmetless and toothless morons

I don't drink(rarely that is), so I could care less about a ban on alcohol anywhere.
But I do care about WHY these things happen.........

MB said it well to

That is what seperates this group from the renegades and those riders that just care about themselves and do whatever they please, no matter the consequences for the thousands of other riders out here.
We ALL strive to ride by, and follow, the rules and ride responsibly.
We do this for the good of ALL riders, and respect for the sport.
If somebody has a bout of Cranial Rectitus, we kindly point it out to them and it's all better.
We are good stewards and role models for all others in this great recreational sport.
We should be proud of ourselves

Man, What a great time that TT racing was! And THANXS to all those that made it that way by either racing or showing up to support us. PSAR is just straight out one great group of people! Joel I owe U that manual air compressor and Thanxs again for helping me out with my setup.

i got in from goldendale a litttle while ago, had a great time at starvation ridge. the track is more technical than i remembered, but still nothing a beginner rider can't do. they made some changes from when i last rode it, and some more for sunday's race. sunday they ran us the opposite direction & added about a mile.
saturday, conditions were sweet, they'd had rain recently, there was only a couple spots of mud, the dry sections were fairly dusty(had some wrecks b/c of it). i took 3rd in amature, my brother took 3rd in beginner. after the race, we inspected the quads... my brothers has no compression & won't start... so he sat out sunday
sunday's race the track was now dry, really dusty, & rough from the beating it took... lots of racin' saturday. we had the best quad turnout so far... about 30-35? the dust took its toll, there were some riders that ate dirt the hard way... more than saturday. i got off to a 4th place start, worked to 3rd in the 1st lap, but the course started taking its toll... back pain slowed me down & i ended 6th. the back still hurts, almost every muscle is sore, and my hands feel like they've been beaten with a hammer..... ahh ibuprophen!

for those going to the team race on the 1st- be ready for a really rough track & extremely dusty conditions... dirtbikes run the day before. one suggestion- if you can't see the track- slow down, dust was the #1 reason that riders ate crap this weekend. some spots can really get you hurt... some did.

Hey everyone,

I forgot how fun these group rides are. Saturday was great, at least for the ones that stayed late. The morning ride was eventfull with lots of "group activities". But I think we made the best of it. Good Job to everyone who attended. Im really bad with names but I have a TRAIL MOVE OF THE DAY! You were the Lady ahead of me and was not only keeping up with Hap all day but at one point, her bike was at about a 70 degree angle in a mud hole and she stayed on and rode it until it was upright! It was Awesome!
I forgot your name but many gongrats

If Im gonna keep riding those trails, I think its time to drop my front sprocket one tooth and get the recluse clutch kit.

Im thinking I might need to trade out the 700 so the fiance doesnt kill herself on tight trails. We'll see.
