I dont see a TM, or a little circled R, therefore it is open game. No patents! I am taking this route from here on out.

Wow! Sounds like you had a good lesson in iniertia and gravity! Glad you're ok... and your quad too!

I would consider revising the last part of your revised maneuver...

1. Dig it in (bury it to the axles).
2. Lock all four wheels (set the parking brake on a 4x4 automatic)... sporties can just be left in gear.
3. Pull the front bumper down and around (let gravity be your friend).
4. Get back on and ride it down forward.

If you ride it down in reverse, you risk going out of control rather quickly. If you tap the rear brake going in reverse for any reason, you'll pancake yourself.

If you can't turn it around, get off the machine. Go to the front and walk it down by controlling the front brake (and throttle if needed to get out of the hole). Your weight over the bumper should keep it from going over.

Done this many times with the scrammy and preddy...

Don't want to see ya getting hurt... that's my job.
I second these instructions............
Stan i tried riding sandbombers DS backwards off a steep but small (in height) dune and the thing tried to bury me right their. Front end came over and landed right on top of me....... ouch THAT HURT!!!!!!!

Today is suppose to be over 100 over there. Not really looking forward to going over there this weekend for a concert. The tickets was bought for me. The concert is Summer Jam (kube 93) and i'm not to in to the whole rap thing. It should be interesting because sometimes i can't keep my mouth shut. .
Go get some generic plastic spray bottles for cleaner at a drug-store. Fill them up with water and mist yourself down while you're over there. Sometimes it turns into a water fight, but well worth it... Don't make Yucca too soon in the day... you'll be passed out before the concert... well maybe it's a good way for you to get through it....

That's cool! Take 'em to the Potholes! Launch at the state park and pull up your own island for the day. Or go hang out over by where the quads ride and watch the quad riders runnin' around in the dust with thier tongs hangin' out . You can do the same thing on Moses Lake too. The Moses Lake side has a better beach by the riding area.

A man who speaks from experience Ive witnessed such reverse pankaking in da dunes many times on steeper hills.
Ya know... you ain't far from the truth with your re-working of my post... Sometimes I feel like a freakin' crash-test-dummy.

With that last dis-mount at Hannegan, the quad tagged me across my right shin. Thought it was broke initially, but got up and walked on it after the paramedics pulled the quad off of me. But the darn thing hurt relentlessly for a freakin week. It's still a little swollen and have a rather large knot about mid-shin...
