Default Puget Sound Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Bing

After yesterday afternoon, trying to break the axle lock nuts, I'm just about ready to bag it and do it after I finish riding, took the two set screws out, penetrating oil and blow dryer, but theses nuts are a tough one. I think it's gonna wait till the winter breakdown, when I have more time to do it the proper way. Sounds to me like there might be camping after all. I can get there in about 1 hour at the most, this last camping trip to Sandlake was enough to last me awhile, brought a cold back with me, haven't shaken it yet.

So what do we need more A or B

A. Craycraft 686, the whole works and swingarm

B. Swingarm, Axle, A-Arms, Steel Braided Brake Lines +4 lenght and width (don't care for tight trails)

Dual-Sporter

Thanks for the info on Quadfest, I'll see if Valerie is interested in walking and galking. Who that you know from the forum will be attending, and are people bringing their quads just to show, or is everybody just racing? Since it's hard to get to meet everybody out on the trails, it would be nice to meet at Quadfest.

Derrick

This poor soul is still MIA, anybody heard from him?

Well were Back from Top Gun!!!

We had a great time camping and racing RaptorChick and Racer-X had fun riding around the ATV track so they were able to get riding time in while the races were going. They had three ATV classes and twenty-four dirt bike classes. The ATV classes were Sportsman, Open, and Pro. I raced the open class and did better than what I expected I would do. Out of 16 riders in the class. I took 5th the 1st moto and 8th the 2nd moto and 6th the 3rd moto. I got really good whole shots the 1st and 3rd. The 2nd moto I did not do so well because the track was so tore up. I backed off quite a bit so I didn’t want to crash. The lips of the jumps were rutted so they would kick your back end up and make you come down nose hard. We saw a Pro. Guy go all the way over. He didn’t get hurt to bad (a little scraped up).
There were a total of about 40 quads between the three classes.

I would do it again but it really costs a lot. I paid $45.00 to race and another $80.00 for us to camp and watch. I don’t think if I pay to race I should have to pay $10.00 each day to watch.

After the races on Sunday we high tailed it out to Juniper and camped it was nice. I think we were the only ones out there on Monday. We had a nice morning ride in the open desert trails and some big hill climbs. We headed back around 11:00 after breakfast. It started to get hot.

After getting back we had seen that the water heater went out and was leaking.
RaptorChick called Sears and asked how much to have one installed they said that the water heater was $250.00 and between permits, earthquake regulations, taxes, and insulation it came out to all most $900.00. So we went to home depot and we put it in our selves for $250.00.

Easton....one of the great things about it up there you can ride to and from your campsite....I just got off the phone with the campground and they said they were wide open for that weekend.

Is the campground on the south side, and the riding area you were talking about with the hill climbs and short track on the north side? Guess what I'm asking is which side do we want to ride in order to get narley, not just logging roads but some technical garbage.

So far from my troop, Rusty-Warrior, Jim-Raptor, Ken-Honda Four Trax, Tim-Honda 400 and myself. This time Ken's bringing his Honda Four Trax, (the one he likes to put in the trees in my photo page),last time at The Rock, he had his 3-Wheeler.

What kind of tires did you get, what type of riding? Are you going to Easton or Quadfest?

On the South side there is a State campground and the logging roads, there are some NARLY areas to ride here too, but the North side is where the campground (Silver Ridge Ranch) and the Awesome trails and short track is. Now just so we are clear the track is not a real big one but its ok to goof around on for 1 or 2 quads at a time. There is no way you can possibly get bored up there, just may have to ride on the road a bit to keep rolling (to get to the south side, logging roads) but like I said I see other bikes and Quads on the road...so we'll deal with that if we (big IF) get bored...sorry for rambling
