Hey i had a great time. It was cool meeting all of you.I haven done that kind of riding in a long time. Usually i ride put put with my son, which dont get me wrong its fun but going out with you guys was a blast. I absolutely loved "BILLS HILL". I can't wait for the next ride. Bill hope you heal OK,,,glad it wasnt worse. My flat tire turned out to just be a small nail hole (easy fix).

Dan was right,,,that place has some nice hot showers. We will be doing many easton camping trips in the future. A very convienient place, store, diner, gas, hookups, nice grassy airstrip to race across (j/k).

We were heading to Quadfest on sunday morning, 8:30am ,,when we learned it was rained out,,,oh well.

It rained cats and dogs sat night. (slept like a log)

is Quadfest postponed or cancelled???

 

OK its Sunday night, and I just got the Quad cleaned up and put away, and I am still sore as heck.

What a ride....I think "Bill's Hill" (Glad to read you're doing well) topped it off but all in all it was a really Great Ride. What an awesome turn out of people. I cannot tell you how cool it was to meet some new people and how equally awesome it was to see the same people again.

If you took any pictures please send me a copy if you would please....I know there were some good pics taken.

The answers to your questions..if you plan to ride there all you have to do is either stay at the campground and you ride for free, or you can park in the lot outside the store/restaurant (just call ahead to ask...listed under RV TOWN in Easton) or you can also find just a wide turnout along the road to unload and load.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.....when/if you ride up there, please respect the community and signs etc as to not tick anybody else off. Just be clear no matter where the quads are you can do all you can to be courteous but chances are against us that no one will be mad at us for something, and this is true about Easton too, so this weekend was no different than most others, the activist were just out for the 17 Quad group Saturday....some of you saw how much attention we got in numbers....

Anyhow, I had a great time riding and hope to go atleast once more somewhere, anywhere before the off season.

Mark, Julie...thank you so much for your hospitality Saturday morning, breakfast was just perfect. Anytime you want to go camping let me know via cell, email, or post it here and we'll be there.

Troy...thanks for the tip on the front sprocket, Im going to look into that soon.

i went to OPMC today, just got in & put up the quad... i tried to outrun the rain a little but to no avail, it got us there too... the track was soup- 6-12" deep mud on most of the track, they closed off the lower section completely. i got stuck twice in my moto (deep mud & high centered in ruts), finished 3rd of 5. the club cancelled the second set of motos due to track conditions.... it was a mess

Quadfest is going to be rescheduled within the next 4 weeks. As soon as I find out the date I'll post something.

I cannot believe how horrible the weather was on Sunday! Even as we were having the rider's meeting to decide if we should reschedule, it just kept raining harder and harder.
Although I am disappointed, I guess it was for the better that it will be rescheduled. The track was like soup and wasn't exactly the safest place to ride, especially with all the little kids that were going to ride. I would hate to see any of them get hurt!

On a more positive note, I did get to meet techtip and bighonda.
I'm sorry you guys drove all the way down from Everett only to get rained out!

Do you still have your swing arm skids on?
That is why the pro's run with out so they don't get high centered. I had taken mine off for Quad fest since there are no big rocks at P/R.
Sorry to hear that they canceled the 2nd set of moto's but at least you got to race.


I had a chance to practice on Saturday and got hung up a few times in the muck. I was about to put the 20's back on and the riders meeting came up and the decision was made.


Are you thinking about makeing it to Longview? I know that would be quite a haul Longview on the 25th and OPMC on the 26th.
I would try but I have to work on the 26th.
