I think I'm the only Coug on here. WAY TO GO BUTCH!
My Mom used to teach there when i was a kid and we lived about 3 blocks from his cage. poor kitty
They haven't had a "live" Butch since 1976
I beg to differ, we lived there 78-80 and Butch was very much live. Although obviously suffering from living in a 10x10 concrete floor chain link cage.

Well there ya go, just shows my days there were a little alcohol hazed.
I do remember the campus wide vote as to whether to get another live Butch when he died. I know that was before 1980 because that was my last year there.
Yeah i think i do remember him dying when we lived there. I'm not surprised a vote would have resulted in not getting another. he was kept in pretty inhumane conditions.

On a note of clarification.
On the PSAR MSN site a picture has been posted of the Reiter ride captioned "Rod stuck" I don't wear a blue helmet. That's Nate stuck again!

Is there a web site for the location, or does somebody have any directions. I'm in Seattle pretty much. What time you planing on meeting there? What kind of trails we talking about? Snow, water, or just snow and dirt?

Thnx for the info guys.
Snow, water, mud and if there's snow you won't be seeing much dirt.
Not sure what time yet, but fairly early (before 8AM?)

Directions from Seattle.
Go North on I-5 to Everett, go east on Hiway 2 (Stevens pass Hiway) Signs will say Snohomish & Wenatchee.
Stay on Hiway 2 to Gold Bar, you will go through the towns of Monroe, Sultan, Startup and then Gold Bar.
About 1 mile east of Gold Bar there will be Reiter Rd. on your left. Follow Reiter Road to the fork, not spoon and stay right.
You will pass the lower staging area on your left, keep going. The road will wind around and start climbing, you will come to a dirt road on your left but go past it, after some more winding (about 1 mile) You will come to another dirt road on your left. Take this dirt road around the sharp right hand corner and up the hill to the wide area. Just park on the side and unload there.
Usually this group likes to meet for breakfast before the ride. Since this ride is at Reiter the meeting place will probably be the Mountain View Diner on the right side of Hiway 2 as you are leaving Gold Bar.
HOly crap BEFORE 8 AM????????? Dang I may as well take my motorhome & stay overnight you early birds are crazy LOL
