Go to a hotter heat range plug and maybe change brand of oil.
the plugs are not fouling, they are actually failing. Sunday, the center electrode slid out and touched the ground, yesterday the insulator broke and slid down around the electrode. Makes me scratch my head [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
Sounds like detonation is beating the plug apart. Better grade of fuel maybe? Retard the spark a bit? Could be you are running too lean.

That was an 04/05 issue. Never a problem on mine. A few of the early 03's had frame issues on top of the front shock mounts, but they corrected that with the second half production. I rode mine very hard for 2.5 years before I finally gusseted the frame. Gusset kit was $60. There was a few that had an issue with the plastic water pump impeller failing, but again, it wasn't really as common as everyone made it. Mine never did. The 03 has a PIA chain adjustment that was improved in the 04/05. It's still an awesome quad and I would highly recommend it as a used quad purchase.
