Have ridden Tahuya twice with the family, mostly on the kiddie trails. Like to go more but it's expensive to cross the ferry with the trailer and quads. Never been on a ride with any forum members. Met Derrick at Sandlake this summer but we slept in late the day he left and didn't get to ride together.
Heck 5:30 ferry lets me sleep in a whole extra 20 minutes more than usual. I should be rarin' to go with that much extra sleep, plus 5 cups of coffee for sure.

I'm glad you're not afraid of alittle bit of water, well alot of water, seems a few of my buddies have wateritus, if you know what I mean, waaah, waaah, It's gonna be muddy and wet waaah, waaah, man give me a break. This is Washington State, is it not? It does rain and get muddy, does it not? Oh well, their loss.
Looking foward to meeting you

Another weekend you guy's choose Tahuya and I can't go...&$#@&%$#. I have a couple of pic's of Tahuya in my Gallery. Make sure all of you have current OHV tags, The rangers are pretty thick out there. Stay off some of the "Jeep Trails", Them holes are pretty deep! I had my SP700 over the front rack while the smaller bikes followed my wake. I am interested in the Easton ride though, When are you looking to do that one again?

I saw a mid 70's Blazer with 35" or 36" mudders sink his nose in and hydro-lock his motor. They just filled one in at the top of the 4x4 trail side, it was about 4' to 5' deep.

I think we'll stay off the 4x4 trails, they should be easy to find and avoid. I would say about 3 feet is pushing the limits for a quad, I personally think 2 feet is about the limits for me, if we come across deeper water, I'm sure Bill will carry my quad across for me

Larry, You know I would carry your quad acrooss the deep mud puddles for you!! I wouldn't want it to get muddy!!
But really, If I can make it, will my Blaster handle the water with my big butt on it?? and any recommendations on clothing? (and footware) It looks like the water won't fall from the sky, but I'm sure there will be a few rooster tales!!

I got it all shined and polished up for the wet, muddy ride. That's what's it's all about, clean it up, dirty it up
As far as clothing, it won't be raining, but will be foggy and alittle chilly, so warm clothes are a must. I think some sort of boots and rain gear, or water proof pants, and a change of clothes for the ride home. I have an extra pair of motocross boots you can use, if they are the right size, at least they will keep your feet dry. Not the easiest to shift with though, but a small tradeoff for semi dry feet.

Just in case anyone was thinking about going to the race (OPMC race 3) at Port Angeles this weekend, you may want to read this first.
As of 10/23, OPMC has posted that their track is closed until further notice due to weather conditions. There is supposed to be Race 3 of the Fall Series up there in Port Angeles, WA, so, anyone wanting to race might want to contact the track before going there on Sunday, October 26.

Ok everybody,
Now it's myself, Ken, Rusty and Jim, they decided to attend the mudfest after all. How about the exact directions to the staging area off highway 300. We know how to get to the state park entrance, but beyond that is a mystery.
Thanks
