Good Afternoon PSAR. Where did the sun go, it is raining again.

Our "Stable" is now full. I picked up Alida's new/used bike last night. I got a '04 Artic Cat DVX 400. It has AC Pro Nerf Bars w/ Heel Guards, Big Gun slip on (NO COWBOY, SLIP, NOT strap ), Air box eliminator(putting stock back on) & a full set of haulers. Pretty good condition, a couple of broken plastic mounts, but no big deal.

Did the DVX have the same problems that the LTZ had, some kind of coolant problem?? Let me know.
Congrats on the new quad!! What exactly is the air box eliminator?
It's a setup that bolts the air filter directly to the carb with no airbox. designed to improve airflow, but not practical in wet conditions.
Do you have any recent experience with riding in wet conditions with without an airbox???? Please do tell... .
And I had my airbox and even an outerwears lid Not that it did much more than strain the mud out of the water going in the airbox. I remember Happa used to run no airbox on his Rappy. It didn't seem happy at Rock Candy.

Florence dune report. Sand is still there. Damp though so it's pretty ruff and rutted, lots of small water holes in the large south flat, Goose Pasture is damp, both Goose Pasture road and Breach Road are rivers and several big water holes in the Coast Guard road that you have to go around. But, a day at the dunes is still good.

Tracy, I stopped at your 1000 Trails campground, no sand access and they won't even let you unload or start a quad/bike in the campground.

Eleanore came w/ custom made graphics but unfortunetly they didn't last thru Wunderboy very long they were KILLER though, check out MB's pics you will see them there!!!

You may already know this, but Florence and Spinreel are 2 different riding areas that aren't connected. If you are going to Florence, look into DriftwoodII. If you are going to Coos Bay, Spinreel, Horsfall, Horsefall Beach, all have sand access. I think there's another one in CoosBay, but you can find specifics at Reserve America and make reservations and such.

Thought you said you were going to Florence in June...I am blonde though.

That's the Oregon Dunes KOA and according to their web page they do have sand access.

There's a guy in Coos Bay with a Grizzly 700 that runs Skat Trak 8 paddle Haulers on all four wheels. It's not needed, but it wouldn't hurt
