Don't forget, if you tow anything behind your rig, you must obey the posted truck speed limit, I thought we covered this after TP got his ticket?
Well aware of it. You're required to abide by the truck speed limit if it's over 10,000lbs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, State Patrol says any vehicle in combination, regardless of weight, must obey truck speed limit.
But not if you're towing a boat. So I've heard. Go figure!

You need a 16' aluminum trailer with an aluminum top... Just so happens that I know where you can get a 16' aluminum trailer .
How much does that trailer with top weigh?
Dunno, but I can ask.

Gull-Wing

You saw one when I had it at Moses a few years ago.
You have that top for your trailer?

trailer is 1000, prolly 2-300 for the top
Believe it or not, too dang heavy
ok, now I have to ask... what are you going to haul in it? Two quads = roughly 900-1000 lbs.
My 660, 700 and trailer = 1580, with fuel and water full, I'm at my max on rear axle. That's only me and half of our gear, I figure no water with one quad and all our gear and food, I'm at max on rear axle. Max rear axle is 9500, without trailer and before mentioned water and fuel, I'm at 9200.

Unless they, the other states that are requiring various endorsements, have decided to challenge the standing reciprocity agreement with this state we should have no problems driving thru their jurisdiction. On the other hand, most scale house monkeys tend to do as they see fit at the time.
You are 100% correct, you only need those endorsements if you live and are licensed in those states.

Well, this just settles it. I'm gonna go buy me an old long nose Peterbuilt and hang a 53 foot refer box with a lift gate on the back of it, put all my junk inside, call it my RV toyhauler and terrorize the hi-ways. Gonna take up half the parking lot at any trail ride and carry the bigest dang B-B-Q you ever saw with me. Can you imagine how much beer you could cool in one of those things?
wow,,,,did you ever shack up with a lady in connecticut back in late '72?
