Default Puget Sound Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Hey HappaRap,

I would never put people to work I invite to go riding. Man, do I come off that bad!!LOL But truthfully, I'd just like to show some good people some new places to ride. As far as stopping by to see me at the Tahuya on the 15th, don't worry, I swear I won't hand anybody a shovel. Just make sure you avoid a guy named Dave Bennett, he is our trail boss/ public lands guy. I just ride and delegate. (once again LOL)

We will be having a friday night meeting at the Elfendahl Trailhead soon though, and I will keep everyone posted. (no beer until after, it's hard to keep peoples attention)

On another note, I would sure like to ride Easton sometime, how is it?

Ringneck, Les Schwab can't screw up your tires any worse than RMC did for me last Friday night. This was the second time driving all the way to Renton, first time to look at the wrong tires they ordered for me. Anyways, they ordered me two right hand Sand Stars and had them both mounted. I probably wouldn't have noticed except one was flat, not even on the bead. So after some arguing over whether R stands for right or radial (I think L stands for looser) I convinced them to swap me a lefty they had sitting on the floor. First tire change - paddles facing wrong direction. Second tire change - put the original tires back on the original rims. Third tire change and 2 1/2 hours later, forty five minutes after closing, sat on every bike, quad, boat, and ski in the showroom, I got my tires.

I guess I'll pipe in here since Easton is my most favorite turf....I have been and go to Easton about 2 times a month and as more snow comes I will be tranforming my Quad into a Sled ( not for real but storing the quad and bringing out the sled)....You get the best of all worlds~~tight curvey trails (like Tahuya), logging roads (for Larry and the OLD GUYS), nasty hill climbs (that only Bing has made it up), flat track areas (for the faster riders), trees, mountains, valleys, views, puddles, mud, and just flat out lots of space. ( I think Tahuya may be just a little bigger though)

Just 4 words to close....Stay off the runway....

to answer an earlier question...yes Tree went riding too, again awesome day of riding, thanks again to Troy and Steph for showing us around.

ringneck

My buddy works at the local Les Schwab dealer....

I brought my stock rims and tires to him to change to my gecko paddles.

He looked at me and said that the equipment they use (not really meant for atv rims) will bend aluminum rims pretty easily.

I loaded them back in the truck and thanked him.

Buy a tire changer off ebay. At least if you bend your rims,,,it will be on your own terms.

Where is seattle are you?

Re: tire changing....
graves motorsports only charges $10 to mount them up & chances are they'll do it right, they're a quad shop.
or
i bought a manual tire changer from harbor freight tools- Tire changer
they put them on sale for $35.... sign up for thier catalogs. it takes a little effort, but pays for itself real fast. to use the top part, the lug pin will need to be replaced with a 10mm bolt. for mounting, use dish soap as a lube to seat the beads.

Races at OPMC went well.

Ringneck,

About Les Schawb and tire cahnging. I have Douglas Chromes and ITP Holeshots. The local Schawb here charges 8 bucks to change them. Im out in Maple Valley.

Dual-Sporter--Graves cloed his store down. I know where his house is but he no longer has a store front. The reason I know this is because I went down there to let him know that the engine re-build he did for me only lasted 5 months grrrrrr. Oh well what do you expect for 800 bucks right?

Bill, gald to hear the A-arm(s) showed up.

By the way, My sons and I went riding on Sunday out of Ravensdale. I had no idea there was so much riding out there. Unfortunately, I didnt know my way around and had it not been for my sons freind who has riden out there forever, I would surely get lost. I think I might look into a Pocket GPS. LOL.

Good to see Kevin checking in the other day. Was wondering about the crew from down south.

Larry, theres a lot of good deals out there on Quads for Bev!!! hint hint.

We should concider getting a group together for pizza or something some weekend. Heck even the non-riding spouses can enjoy that , right?

Nickli
Bev? You got the V right, but it's Val, now she thinks I have a girlfriend, Nick you have some splaining to do, referencing Ricky and Lucy Ricardo. Guess I won't be riding for awhile, hehe, just kidding Nick.
Group pizza sounds great, even Bev, oops, I mean Val, thinks it's a great ideal.

Well if you guys get together for a meeting / food fest let me know. There is a used tire store on Canyon rd. around 140th street I think. They will do your tires. I think they charged a buddy 10.00 dollars for mounting two new tires up. They pulled a large piece of wood out of my bead for free. Damn Tahuya roots!

Thanks for all the replies, my friend down in Vancouver had his tires changed out at Schwab down there, he had no problems, but then they are close to the track and do some atv business. I am hoping everthing goes well, otherwise the next time I get tires I will get rims as well just to save the heartache. If they get the job down I hope to get out to Tahuya thursday, blue ford with trailer ozark and trailboss quads. Also article on the news last night about the number of quads stolen in the last two months down in the southern counties was frighteing, guess they are ending up on ebay.
