They should have stuff on the web site, If this is true then all of use that are planing to come down on Dec. 5-7th are illegal. Where can I get this info to?

Don't get bent out of shape.....they will not be inspecting anyone for noise infractions. The rangers are laid back and easy going. Too get some sort of fine or penalty you will have too be really breaking some laws and putting people in harms way. Just get your permit and go enjoy yourselves.

I will agree with gary660r. The rangers are there to promote the H/M System, NOT the bust people. They are very laid back. You will have to do something VERY stupid, or illegal before they get nasty...................

The only thing that concerns me is people that have never rode these mountain trails getting themselves into trouble. THis past summer, I was talking too a couple guys that had been riding for over 20 years and both had wrecked earlier in the day because of the conditions. I recommend staying off the black trails for visitors.....no sense in wrecking and spoiling the trip for yourself....or worse.

gary660r--- Again I will tend to agree with you about the "black trails", though a FEW are marked black, when, in my opinion, they could be "blues". Example: Rockhouse trails #26 & #27.

I'd say they won't be very harsh on the noise regulations from my expirience, but some of the local town cops might be in the towns. They have ordinances that were really for bumping speakers in cars, but they can apply to any noise. As for the spark arrestor, you definately will need one, there are simple ways of checking for that, including using a stick, so I would get one if you've made some after market changes to your quad and don't have one. If you burn down the forest, I'm sure the Rangers won't be so nice.
