I just got back from vacation in Arizona, we drove from Tombstone to the Grand Canyon and back. I must have saw a zillion atv's and dirt bikes. There is SO much wide open land in this state, you could pack up your ATV and ride for days and not see another person. I was so impressed I want to move there. Do you guys from Arizona realize how good you have it?

 

Guy, I'd say most of us 100% agree with you. AZ riding is simply awesome. If you're a trail rider there are a million places. Most people in AZ do go out to CA for the Dunes, however. Did you get a chance to ride while you were out here?

 

You should try Utah.

 

I'm a little biased of course but I think Idaho has to be right up at the top.

 

Mostly the whole southwest is pretty much wide open, compared to the rest of the country. A great deal of the land is public, and therefore open to riding (within limits).

 

No I didn't ride when I was there....are there any dunes in Yuma or Lake Havasu area?

 

I live in tucson..... Sure there is a lot of land to ride on but most of the time you will be getting chased by sheriffs or state police. there is a no off road ordinance in pima county but we ride anyways.. You learn after a while when to go and when not to go. Dont get me wrong it is still the best place to ride an atv. You can ride desert, mountain, and even dunes. Yes dunes in Az.
