Yes sir, actually it is only ¼ of the system as it exists now. The Hatfield McCoy trail system (see info) currently consists of four individual riding areas. These areas are within an hour or less drive (via hauling vehicle) from each other. I’ve heard there is a 5th one about to open up. Currently there are a total of about 400 miles of trails (with plans to expand to around 2000 miles!!!). The map link in the previous post was the Buffalo Mtn. area. The other 3 currently active are Water Ways, Bear Wallow and Rockhouse. The Rockhouse system probably has the most variety and has towns (Man and Gilbert) you can drive your ATV in to at each end (the trail head & parking area is at Man).
If you’ve never been there before and you like to trail ride, then start planning your vacation immediately! There is no finer organized collection of trails anywhere in this part of the country that I’m aware of. As for me, I've got to start packing as I'll be on my way down there tomorrow morning!...

I'm not sure. I will find out more information tonight. The trail system was said to be more friendly to sport bikes (IE. places we can open the bikes up on, Unfortunatly not as many hill climes.) I belive we have to ride the bikes to the cabins. The trail system is on the north end. I thought they said somthing coal? I will let you know.

I rode HM last week. Everything seems to be in good order. Buffalo Mountain is in good shape. It was a little rough earlier in the year. Rockhouse is in good shape. They were actively working on Bearwallow while I was there. The staff we met were awesome. Most of them ride and can tell you which trails are a no miss. HM rules. The best riding area in the country. We went out to the Piute in September for their event. HM has them beat hands down. This is the single best riding area ever created. I can't wait until they open more and more.
