My Friend has a cottage in Silver Lakes Michigan, place is the BOMB! BUT< it is 4 hours north of me and, I'm close to I80 and, 294.

Besides The Badlands 2 hours into Indiana and, Ottawa's Fox Valley Offroad 1 1/2 hours west of me that is all i have remotely near by. Illinois Sucks for any kind of motorsports what so ever.

Places like California and, Texas have Tons of Tracks and places to ride while we have nothing. Even places like Indiana, Pennsylvannia, Kentucky, Wisconsin and, Michigan have real Tracks and, Riding Spots (all around us). I see all kinds of national Races and, events in most every other state but ours. Unless it is 4 hours S. of Chicago. What is up w/ this? 3rd largest population in the country and, worse place for ATV's, RC Cars (which i also have).

Us Illinoian's are doomed. I'm considering selling my bike can't stand having to plan a trip to ride!

 

Hey i live in the suburbs of chicago and know a couple sweet places to ride. Im talking nasty mud, old railroad tunnels, lots of hill climbs, a stream that runs all throuought the woods{with rapids after heavy rain} and of course jumps. cops dont ever bother us and thers always a lot of riders their. I have to agree St Joe State Park in Mo. is awesome!!! It is only around 2000 acres though.

 

Only? Thats better than anything we have here in Illinois. This state just takes money without giving anything back...

We drive to St Joe on a regular basis.

 

That is great for people that it isn't a 6 hour ride for but, us in the northern half are screwed!

I wonder if i can get state grant or, something to make a sweet place up here?
