Where to Ride in or Around Houston/Galveston
Kodiak,
You can find trails/mud in TX by going to www.txmud.com
You can also find MX tracks in TX that allow quads at www.racedirect.com (go to track directory).
I know of nothing in the Galveston area. Around Houston, you have a few options. In east Houston (near Highlands/Crosby), you can ride at fatman's place which is best know for mud. On the north side, you can ride at Spring Creek trails or San Jacinto River off hwy 242. On the west side of town, you can ride at Dirtdogs ATV park. All 4 of these riding areas are described on the txmud website listed above.
NOTE: Some of these areas (San Jac river and Spring Creek) that are located in riverbottoms will be illegal to ride on after the new TX law takes effect on 1/1/04. So ride them now while you still can!
