the Faribault/Northfield area have the Tri-County pit and Bauer's pit. Tri-County is a grant-in-aid trail that is open year-round. Bauer's is a private, pay-to-ride pit. Not sure if anyone has been there recently since the snow. Both are ok for the first-timer, but are limited with area to ride. Approx. 40 acres for Tri-County and 110 acres for Bauer's.

I've been meaning to check out the Tri-County pit and Bauer's pit. I live by Owatonna which is only like 15 minutes from Faribault. Guess next spring i'll have to check it out. right now snow bogging is keeping me happy.
Would have went last year but my riding buddy trashed his bike and doesn't have money to fix it so that put the breaks on going out riding there.
And riding alone sucks.

Ice,... isnt thick enough right now,but when it gets thicker, riding on ice is a blast. I live in anoka county. Try the mn dnr website for ideas on where to go. I believe snake creek is down by wabasha. But most, if not all, trails are closed during the snowmobile season. I think the rabey line is open and spider lake is partiall open in winter. Im not sure how far you want to go to ride, but in wisc there are places to go this time of year.
