The staging area for Pinnacles is off SR-173, just north of Lake Arrowhead. Although the staging area didn't burn in the last fire, some of the nearby areas did, and the USFS, in its usual draconian way, closed down everything.

 

Lennie We're going to head up to Hungry Valley again, I usually park at the second lot... (big yellow avalanche) ya can't miss it.. Probably be with my buddy with a grey tacoma... he's got a green kfx400 I have the orange 700 ya can't miss us... We'll keep a look out for you....

Wiley, rowher flats is worth checking out and I thought it was faiirly technical most of the trails are marked as black diamonds with blues and greens here and there.. Rowher Flast Santa Clara Rivers (661)296-9710 basically it's up the 14 a little ways off the 14.. that number is for the ranger there...

BTW anyone know where my buddy can rent an atv without goin all the way into downtown?

I'd like to get out there early arounf 8 or nine so I can get as much riding in as possible before I head back.

OK Lennie, that sounds good.. keep in mind I'm a novice (only been out twice) I'll do greens and blues but will wimp out on the blacks..... Denny's @ 9:00?? There are also ramps out there at Hungry Valley. The big wood things. Make it real easy.
