NEW OUT STATE RIDERS LICENSE IN WISCONSIN
I dont know if this is true or not. I will e-mail the dnr and get back to you. I know in the past that an out of state rider had to register their machine in Wisconsin. The fee was twelve dollars for two years. I think that I will stay with that but I went through a few heated debates on this matter.
It is about time that they went with a new system like this. I heard that they were going to do something like this. I will post a thread here when I find out some more info.

NEW OUT STATE RIDERS LICENSE IN WISCONSIN
I just recieved this e-mail from the Wisconsin DNR> The way I understand it, a person will Still have to register their machine in Wisconsin if their state does not have registration such as Michigan, Illinois. What this means to out of state riders is a higher fee to ride there. Presently it is $12.00 every year, the proposed fee is $18.00 per year which would be close to Michigan's fee of $16.25 per year. From: "Yelk, Lynne L" <Lynne.Yelk@dnr.state.wi.us>

Presently there is a bill introduced into legislature that would create an ATV nonresident trail pass. This pass would need to be purchased in order to operate in WI provided that the unit is registered (certificate and decals) in your home state. If your home state (IL, MI) does not register ATVS then the unit would need to be registered in WI. We should know more about the status of this bill on or about April 1.
So, if you are from Michigan or another state that does not have registration, you still need to register your machine in the state of Wisconsin. Hope this helps.

NEW OUT STATE RIDERS LICENSE IN WISCONSIN
I went to Wisconsin over the holidays and since we don't register in Texas, I had to register as though I lived in Wisconsin. It was $12 for 2 years. I thought that was a good deal. I didn't get my stickers for 5 weeks, but I carried the receipt as proof.
