have a bone stock 2003 yamaha kodiak 400 4wd, can anyone give advice, will it make it to the top of test hill or if not what do i need to get around the dunes, thank you

 

I dont know for sure, but my warrior that was stock with stock tires made it
I would think a 4wd would make it.

 

I went there in ' 95 with a totally stock Wolverine, and had no problem with Test hill or any other, you will do fine,saw lots of utility quads out there, all were driving everywhere,a few getting stuck by not staying on the gas all the way to the top, nothing a little lift and turn wouldn't fix !! you'll have fun, I'm hoping to go back this June with my son when he gets out of school, he has been dreaming of dune riding for years, now he had his state certification, and can legally ride an adult quad without getting hassled by the cops and DNR. Maybe I'll see some of you guys there !!

 

You'll have no problem with anything there..

I get stuck every once in a while on test hill, but just because I was in 2wd and didn't give it enough hell [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

If you still have stock tires, take them off and turn them around backwards, then air 'em down to 2-3 psi.
