A few of the forum members are trying to make a trip to the dunes in April. Anyone have any sugguestions on weekends to go? Who would be willing to make the Dunes that weekend?

Mr. Meaner and I are in so far as long as the weekend doesnt conflict with the event for April at Little Sahara.

 

If I get some new paddles by then I'll try to make it. What weekend??

For those of you who are planning a trip to the LA Dunes in Louisiana, would you mind putting March 13th as a date that you would like to visit. The reason I'm asking is...I'll be there representing a magazine, and I'll need people to use in the photos.

I'll also be at the Little Sahara near Waynoka OK on March 26-28th for the same reason. I don't need the same people at both places, but if you could make one or the other, it would sure help. AND it would be a chance for you to be in a magazine.

Camrman, what magazine do you shoot for? You should try Mardi Gras weekend usually has a large crowd there. Its two weekends before the date you set. If not, I will tell some of my friends about it. Dont know if I will be ready to go that weekend.

Ced, the date is still up in the air but we are still pushing for April.

 

Mardi Gras weekend is sure to be busy, but the 13th is the only weekend I have open. My life tends to get booked out 6-8 weeks in advance.

I'd rather not say which magazines I work with, because then someone will say something about it, or another publication is better. The magazine I'll be representing that weekend has subscribers in the LA area, but it is often hard to find the further East you go.

(I live near Houston and can't find it easily.)

How we going to know which magazine to go buy? What month is the article going to be in the magazine.


Does your magazine require the riders to be wearing helmets. You wont get to many action pics if it does.

 

I've read one of his articles recently and really enjoyed it. Very informative. I also noticed that all of his action pics were of riders with helmets so I guess if you wanted your pic in the magazine you'd have to wear one.
