I was talking to someone yessterday that said that there was a big atv event every year in south Louisiana....THey mentioned Moss Bluff and Possom Cove Does this sound familar to any of you?

That is what I was thinking.......I think it is some time coming up though....What ever it is if I find out about it I will be there.

Possum Cove Sports Park has been in existance for 21 years, primarily as a motorcycle race track. Sponsored by the Lake Charles Sportsbike Association, and owned by the Jones family, Possum Cove has been home to many charity events as well as world class racing. In addition to Flattrack, Quad, and BMX racing, Possum Cove is the ONLY Speedway track in the southern United States. Located in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. With over 60 acres of beautiful parkland, Possum Cove Sports Park features a 1/8 mile oval dirt track, a 1/4 mile BMX track, a 2 acre Motorcross/Quad track, and a half pipe with an 8 foot vertical drop. Possum Cove can also be rented for private funtions

I have been to possum cove a couple of times. Most weekends during there operation season, there are a couple of bikes. But once or twice a year they put a big event on. I havent seen the new schedule for this year so I dont know what they have planned. They do offer a drag racing area but its dirt and alittle ruff if they dont smooth it.
