Hey raptor 149, I live 10 houses down from the McDonalds. I have lived here 37 years and I am trying to remember a mx traxk. The only one I can recall is the one that used to sit where the new highschool is. We have been riding at the fairgrounds for 20 some years. Not very big but there is 400 acres over there and it's close to the house so it makes for some good night riding. We just came back from Hatfield McCoy trail system last week. It makes rumble on the ridge look like kindergarten. It was awesome. We are going to rumble on the ridge april 9th though. One of the best places in ohio. But for just a 5 hour drive, nothing beats hatfield. check out the scenery pics on my page.

Just wanted to pass the word to anyone who may be going or planning on going to the Hatfield McCoy Trail system in the future. We stayed at Livingood Lodging located in Gilbert West Virginia. The owners, Randy and Vivian Livingood, are probably two of the nicest people I have ever met. They have two cabins and an rv hoohup. Cabins are spotless and their hospitality is second to none. They pamper you with home cooking and everything. They also love to ride and know all the great trails and even a few "Secret ones". You owe it to yourself to look these two up if you are planning a trip there. Also be sure to check out "www.quadcrew.com" and look under the Hatfield McCoy folder for Daily trail updates and ride descriptions. He just put a nice post on there of our visit entitled "Great ride to man and back to gilbert. Randy's screen name in that forum is "Polarislover" A Must site to visit for stories and trail updates when going to the Hatfield system. I psted a few picks from our visit on my page and you can see many other ones at "www.livingoodlodging.com" Enjoy!

Sad aint it?
The best place I've found within a reasonable drive was Elson street. Met some very cool riders, from here. We hooked up there. Had a blast.
You need a helmet. its 8 or 10 bucks to get in, all day ride. I get whipped out after four hours. Power to anyone able to beat on it for 8 hours.
Theres everything you could want. deep water, deep mud, trails in the woods, hill climbs, streams, sand runs, a couple of wide open tracks, maybe 1/3 mile oval where you can....well, go in circles if thats your bag, with some humps to get air borne.
Funniest wipe out I've ever seen was at Elson.
Do a search for Elson and rumble, you'll find plenty
Deerchopper went with me, great guy to ride with
edit: after a long winter I'm getting the itch to go again.
you'll need a winch if you like getting crazy. I've been stuck a few times. Last time we were there, we BOTH got stuck, trying to pull each other out. theres a few riders there so common sense, no flying down the main road, stay to the right keep your eyes open at all times. After a while you'll get the "feel" of the flow of traffic there. I've had a fantastic each time I've been. Including the time I rolled my bike 3 complete times, bent two rims, bent the front strut, bent both racks and nearly killed myself.
yes, common sense, bring it...I must have left mine on the trailer that day....too old for that nonsense, 46 years old and went flying up a hill like a nut.
