We're heading to Gorman for the 1st time the weekend of April 29 - May 1. Glad to hear that there is a place to fill up with water and dump, rather than bring it with us!
Thanks for the info. Will definately share it with our Toyhauler friends that are going too!

Wow, you guys are really building up the Gorman experience! I'm gonna have to check it out myself. I'm hoping to get a day ride in this week so maybe i'll drive the extra distance and check it out. Gotta be around 2.5 hrs from here tho'! Thats a long drive for me now.

Wish I could head out to johnson valley.... Been awhile since my R' has seen them trails..
Used to live off camp rock road - could ride right outta my backyard (A nice big 20 acre backyard then...)
I do remember having quite a ball jumping over bessimine road as if it were a tabletop...
I'll just have to stick to prarie city.....

I went to Gorman Easter weekend with the ladyfriend and her 11 yo daughter. We rode on Saturday then left early Sunday AM, took 138 over the hill to the Poppy preserve near Lancaster. Spent the day there photographing flowers. Well worth the time. Gorman was a nice ride but wasn't very challenging. Black diamond trails (at least the ones we tried) were no problem for the youngster on her Yamaha Breeze (well, maybe a little problem, but she survived). Gorman is good for family rides if youngsters are in the group. I find it to be a bit too civilized for my taste otherwise.
