Back from Gorman!

The weather was awesome! It wasnt too hot and there was a very nice breeze. They really improved some of the trails and took a lot of whoops out so they are much easier to ride. I couldnt believe how much smoother the trails were, I didnt think they could get any smoother! There were a ton of people out there but wasnt crowded at all cause the place is huge. The grasslands were open and the trails were really nice! There were a couple of rivers flowing! That was the first time I have seen water up there and it was fun to cross. The place was very green and had a ton of beautiful flowers. It was my first time there with my extremely loud exhaust and no rangers gave me any problems. Gorman is still the best place to ride in Southern California. Im hopefully going to go back up there this weekend...I just got back and cant wait to go back up there!

Gorman is possibly the best place in southern california to ride its big enough that even when their is a few thousand people there its still not crowded. It has a little bit of everything there,as far as terrain, Just wish it had a dump station and maybe a place to fill your fresh warer tank when you get their. Hauling all that weight up the grapevine sucks.

I have got a trip with 6 other haulers that are going to Johnson valley this weekend, we are all leaving about 4:00 on 4-22.Johnson valley is only about 1 hour from my house. Bring the kids and the toys and good times always happen with are group of friends. we are right up against the mountain by the dry lake just as you come in.Everyone is welcome if you want to hang out.

Ah Proraptor, I was hoping we'd hear from you . . . I knew you'd love it! Isn't it gorgeous there? I also love the water crossings, and the trails are great. They must have taken a Caterpiller over all the trails after the rain.

I agree with Blown450 - I wish there was a dump station there as well, but in case you didn't know, there is a dump fairly close by, only around 2 miles up the 5 Fwy North of Gorman at the Flying J.

Looking forward to going back the weekend of the 30th!

Water and Dump station is free at thr state Rest Stop on HWY 5 just north of the flying J on rmp....

We left Gorman headed for the Flying J, but the dump was closed...so as soon as we got back on the freeway northbound there was the exit......water and dump for free....

You can also fill up with water at flyin J. They really cater to the truckers/campers. They have an island just for rv'ers
