CALIFORNIA Quad Riders report here.....

Oh, I'll be there. Anything to miss a day of work. LOL.
I've been careful to never post where I live...I'm sure you guys would come for me. LOL. And yes there will be bread...there's 10 people coming right? LOL. I'm bringing 4 loaves. That's it. I'm not a millionaire!
Ok, so this is how I twisted it. Kinda stupid. So, those who have met me, or probably from my pics, know that there is an excess amount of B&RW. My Dr. got on my case about putting a few back on last time I went to see him. (Which was before Xmas...anyways). So I've decided to start walking and then riding (bicycle & stationary bike) again. So I go for a 2 mile walk Monday morning before work. So I decide to add an extra 1.25 at work. The streets are weird shaped where I work (cause of the Fresno airport). Anyways...I'm like I don't know...600' from the office walking down the street, literally...they don't believe in sidewalks....don't ask. And I step on a *$^#(*^ pine cone!
And somehow...I've misplaced a pair of riding pants. I know...WTF! I have the jersey though. LOL

If you tape the ankle with athletic tape it is amazing what it will put up with. I have a book on joint taping that Jeff Spencer put out about 25 yrs ago. Simply amazing what a bit of properly placed/wrapped tape can do. Needed it a bunch when I was younger. LOL.

I need some help for this weekend. I am new to this forum and riding. Both my wife and I have a Bombardier. We want to go up to Gorman this weekend and need to get some directions. I know how to get Gorman but where do I go from there? I live in the Antelope Valley and will be going up the back way. Any information would be great.
Thank You

Take the Gorman exit. Yeah, really. LOL. There should be signs for "Hungy Valley SVRA" Last time I was there, 2 years ago, there was a Holiday Inn with a Sizzler in it, A McD's and umm a Chevron I think. Go to the West side of the freeway. Turn right (head north) and you'll come to a sign and gate. Turn left (freeway is on the right).
There's another entrance down near Pyramid Lake, but I have no clue where exactly. State OHV Parks Go there. If you use mapquest.com, enter "Hungry Valley SVRA" for the city, and CA for the state. Might need the periods in SVRA if that shows nothing.

We are heading to Gorman for the 1st time this weekend also. Hating the fact that none of us can get off work early today, so we'll be heading out about 5:30! OH WELL!
Anyway, we'll be getting there tonight and will likely be camping at Smiths Fork Campground. That is where our good friends told us to meet them!
Also have 3 - 5 other friends likely joining up on Satuday morning.
We have a 28 WTB Tahoe Transport and our friends have a diesel truck towing a 33 Wanderer Toyhauler. Other friends will simply be towing a little trailer, bringing their Suzuki & Polaris quads. Feel free to join us if you'd like.

I wouldn't try that other exit (the one closer to Pyramid Lake) last I heard it was still closed.
I'm bumming out now, because we were supposed to go to Gorman this weekend, but my husband started tearing apart our kitchen this week to put in granite, and it's not done so we figured we'd better stay home this weekend so I can have a kitchen sink and stove sometime soon again.
We usually stay at Smith Forks campground too. It now has a cool little river flowing behind it (since the rain). Just to forewarn you . . . if you don't have any kids with you and don't want to be around kids, you may want to pick another campground. The "kids track" is in that campground so they're all over the place. Last time, some guy wasn't watching his little 3-year old on a quad and he ran it right into our trailer. Scared the crap out of us!
It should be great in Gorman after the rain yesterday. Everyone have a save and fun weekend!
