Ok, who's gonna be at Pismo early Saturday morning with a Raptor or other big 4-stroke w/o a silencer? LOL

Finally ready to go. Just have to load up the stuff in the bed. The cab is 80% loaded (just need to put my gear bag and pillows up there.) I'll bring what wood I can bit under, in and around my stuff. I SOOOOO need a small trailer! Oh, and if you want bread, I'm not footing that bill again! I have parmesan & garlic. Someone needs to pony up bread, butter and that special ingredient everyone loves to hate.

My insane goal for the morning. Wake up about 4:30. Loading before 5. And on the road at 5:30 with a stop for gas for the quad. That puts me at Pismo about 8. LOL. What's the line on me actually making that? I think about the same odds as Karyn getting up before 8! I think I should make it by about 10 though. Though, my goal is to actually drive the speed limit to see what kind of mileage I can pull. Not sure if I can stay out of it enough to hold back to 55 going across 41 between Hanford and Kettleman City.

Ha... I got a post in before 8!!!! Toyhauler is 80% loaded (bikes are next), clothes/gear packed, still need to run to the grocery store on the way out of town, paddle tires are officially on.....yahoooooooooooo!

Countdown to getting out of town.... tminus 2 hours!!! RD... we're gonna miss you this trip... hopefully next one!!

Had a blast as usual guys.

Took me 2:15 to get home from Paso. Took it pretty much 55 to 60... not sure what I got for mileage though. It was nice to just kick back and cruise and not rush home. First things were first (even before unloading)... SHOWER! ICK 3 days of sand embedded into sun screen. I think my camp gear is going to work one day and getting pressure washed.

Hope Mark's stuff all made it back to town. Poor poor PSD. I'm sure she served him well. Creek...4' hole...doesn't mix. So that was at least 2 motors to the creek, plus the dunes claimed two other bike motors...both 250cc Suzuki 2-strokes...same rider too.

Now over to towing to Karyn's thread and the PSD forum.

Not sure where it was exactly. But we went back last night with the video camera. One guy in a Scout had to get towed out. Made it through one way, but not the other way. He just got stuck. Didn't get flooded out though. Dude in a Cherokee wasn't so lucky... A guess a little Toyota truck also got swamped as well.

And I actually made my planned time for leaving. Up at 4:30 and was on the road at 6am. That was after getting gas for the bike. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

All Marks stuff made it home ok. Motor is toast. Gave him a good reason to look for bigger and better.


And like all trips...this one was awesome as usual. Was great to meet everyone....looking forward to the next one.

 

PSD is over in the towing forum. Click on the drop down box at the top right. Go to the Trailers, Toy Haulers, ... list. Can't miss it. Title is something like 7.3L PSD Crew Cab. It's got about 6000 posts in it. Usually on the first page, always. It's an extremely tame BS thread along the lines of that garbage that's known as "The Daily Spin Zone" in the "Other Topics" section.
