Karen, I wasn't there last time. Where was camp at?

 

We were there with the other Club ATV West group & had a terrific time! . . . Go up the beach toward s pole 4, but not to 5 . . . turn left going up onto Sand Highway, the one near the restroom facilities . . . once you get to the end of the roped area, go right and over a bit . . . that's where everyone camped last time.

How was Florida? We're packed and ready to go to Florida, but of course, Pismo comes first! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I'm actually still here until Thursday.... great weather.. it's humid.. but not unbearable even thought I'm a native Californian!!! Didn't really even see much aftermath from Tropical Storm Arlene. The only issue I had was in Atlanta... bad weather closed the runway for a bit.. we circled and circled.. they decided to redirect our flight to Birmingham, AL since we were running out of fuel (NICE!!)... sat on the tarmack for 1 hour, then sat at the gate for 1 hour waiting for fuel. Got our fuel, back in the air and we were able to land in Atlanta however we were 3 hours late so I missed my flight to Orlando. ALL the flights for the next 2 days were OVERSOLD and there were 86 people on standby (me being #13 on that list). Basically they told me they couldn't get me to Orlando until Tuesday which didn't work for me since my meeting started on Monday! Slept in Atlanta (no help from the airlines, since it was weather related) Sunday night, woke up Monday, caught a flight to Daytona Beach, rented a car and drove to Orlando! At that point, I was hoping to get bumped from my Daytona flight cuz I was headed home if that happened.. was just plain tired of airplanes and airports at that point!!! Anyway, made it finally to Orlando, 1 day late.. oh well... Just also changed my flight home.. NOT going back through Atlanta, but instead headed to Salt Lake City then on to Oakland.. hopefully there will be no bad weather in SLC! Haha!!!
