Crazy500, Welcome to the forum

There are a few from the forum that plan on being at Pismo the weekend of July 22-24th I'm sure they will post something here sooner or later. If you've never been there. You might do a search of Pismo for some pointers on the beach. Like Reserving a spot on weekends at Reserve America. Camping on the beach gets sold out during summer. Check tide tables. It's best to enter the beach at low tide. Make sure you have a 4x4 makes traveling in the sand a lot easier. Air down your tires to about 20 lbs. including the trailer, if your towing one. Make sure you set camp above the high tide mark. Nothing like watching the tide swallow up the precious real estate around your camp I'm sure I missed something But, others might add to it.

Only the truly diehard of diehards would attempt Glamis anytime during the summer. Tenperatures average 105-110 degress and if you're really lucky 120+. I've tried it, and even with an RV w/AC it is just absolutely miserable. Glamis is good November to April and that's about it. Pismo be much cooler.

Any California quad riders know of any quad rental & riding locations in Florida? So far, no luck on web searches and on a Florida based riding site.

Any information today or tomorrow much appreciated! We're outta here EARLY, EARLY Wednesday a.m. East coast, here we come!

Hey RD:

Thanks for the idea - I've got it taken care of now. I'm crossing my fingers to see if we get any good information. Otherwise, the Florida trip may send us into big-time withdrawal symptoms!

Thanks,
Lori

OK - California board is slipping from the first page so I thought that I'd put up a new post and get us back to the top

Packed and ready to leave for Florida. No real leads on where to ride/rent quads in Florida We'll see - we can't give up until we get there to figure it all out!

Richard & Lori . . . Florida bound!
