Well another good trip to Pismo on SUnday.

Got there about 0900, first ride at 0920 with overcast weather and almost no wind. Overcast cleared by noon and we even got a little sunburn on tender lily white skin...The beach was very packed. Rode safe and smooth till about 1400 and packed up and drove off crowded part of beach just to get settled for tow home.....Again, had a great time....

One thing though. my buddy aired up our tires for us and the first ride immediatly noticed a problem....turns out he put 7 psi in the fronts and 6 psi in the rears.......rode like crap, no traction and very stiff feeling ride......

Got back to camp for first beer, and lowered pressure to 4 in front and 3.5 in rear.....wayyyy better........

Love Pismo

BALDMIKE i got a question, i'm very close to buying a toyhauler and i go to hungry valley as often as i could, do u know the closest place i could fill up on water before getting there that way i dont have to pull that thing with the water tanks full for a long time, and also dumping after i leave?

Superman, yes you can leave empty and fill up right there is Gorman at the Chevron station.....

Well it was hotter than the norm up ther today, reached like 85 until around 5:30pm then it kooled down
and it was nice.

Might have to head to Pismo next trip, rode about al the damn hills there @ Hungry Valley today....

That's good to know, I often wondered about the water thing myself, but didn't know if it was "kosher" to fill up at a gas station. So they actually let you with no problem or would we need to do it on the sly?

Superman - What kind of toyhauler are you looking at? We bought one, and we did like it, but wound up trading it in for a Class A in less than a year, and got an open trailer to tow our quads on. Then my husband got rid of the huge gas-hog SUV he was towing it with and got a more economical car to drive to work. I heard that happens a lot and we found out the hard way. Just make sure that's what you really have your heart set on. Since we also take our two dogs with us everywhere, we found it's MUCH more comfortable and convenient to be able to ride "inside" the RV instead of having to ride all cramped up inside the tow vehicle and it's a lot less work setting up/packing up when you get there/leave. It's like night and day. Also, we found we get much better gas mileage in the RV than we did towing the toyhauler with the SUV. Pulling that weight was just gulping the gas right out of it. The Class A goes much faster on inclines as well and we can't even feel the weight of the trailer we're pulling. But even if you do decide to go with a toyhauler - I'm sure you'll love it no matter what. Anything that's not a tent is great!

Well I bring my own hose and just hook up and fill up.
It helps to get a little gas while you're there........
