EXtreme:
I would love to make it that weekend but we already made plans for sept16th a few months ago.
What is the riding like there? How big of an area is it? I have never been there and from what I heard its great riding.

A paper I had said there was 32 miles of trail there is that true? We usually do about 60 miles of riding/day but maybe these trails are more challenging & it takes all day to do the 32 mile loop I wouldn't know. Just North of there is Susquehannock in Potter Couny & they have 43 miles of trails. Would you be doing both sets of trails that weekend or just the Sproul loop? Has anyone been to the Potter county loop & if so how does it compare? I'm going to Marienville to ride the weekend before so I have to see if I can get away 2 weekends in a row.
Thanks
Jim

I suppose there is around 32 miles of main trail but there is endless amounts of acreage to be explored with trails shooting all over the place...some interconnecting, others a dead end full of hillclimbs. It will be hard to cover everything in 4 days. Some of the play areas are so fun, you can spend hours in one place! We will be only riding in the Sproul national forest for the weekend...nowhere else.

What is the terrain like at Sproul? Is it all rock, or light gravel? Currently I dont have a rear skidplate and I am wondering if I should purchase one before the sept16th trip, or if I can get away w/o one for now.
thanx again

you'd better have one or you can kiss your rotor goodbye. There are many rocky areas as well as dirt trails but you'll never make it without a skid.

What a four day weekend! We had a great time and the weather was excellent. Got to meet lt250r_86 (Joe) and we had trx430ex with us as well as a slew of other friends from home. As for you Philly addicts, you've got a real treat ahead of you. Make sure you stop at the "pit", #7, and #8...which none of us would attempt! Make sure y'all got stickers or the nice ranger man will get you. They could care less about exhaust. Watch for the Kettle Creek State Park sign along rt120...turn there to enter the orv area...it ain't marked. Camping is off of Middle Branch rd (half way up Two mile run rd). B370, better get a skid plate! We did lose a 400ex down the pit wall, so be carefull out there! (not mine)

EXtreme,

It was my pleasure. Nice meeting all you guys. We had a great time. Maybe we can get together again sometime. Hope the guy with the LT gets everything worked out, looked like he had a lousy weekend with all his problems. Thanks for the French Toast!
