I'll ask my Dad, he lives over in Marquette. They go all over the UP in the winter on sleds

There is a place in Indian River, Michigan called Brentwood Lodge

http://www.brentwoodlodge.com

The trailhead for ATV/Snowmobiles starts at this property. We've done some great rides from there previously - including going all the way up through the UP. Cheap, good food across the street at the pub, and nice rooms or if you prefer houses to rent.

As long as you want them to be

We've done 400 mile treks from this spot all the way up to Iron Mountain. It connects to just about every trail system in the area.

I liked this place as its a good price for the room, the management is heavily into ATV'ing (he has Sportsman 600's ) so they love having other ATVer's come in. Just one of those places that once you've found it you are glad to come back to..ya know what I mean?

Cabins

I stayed here last year you can ride right into town to fill up and the trails start just a block down the street from the gas stations. A couple of the trails lead right to other gas stations and restaurants so you can stop and eat or get some refreshments on your treks.

As far as going over the bridge just rolled up and paid the fare ( I think it was $5.00 for my truck and 2 axle trailer).
