I'm going to guess about 2-2.5 hrs from OKC. Takes us about 3.5 to get from here to OKC and Salina is about an hour into the drive between us and OKC.

Hey Buck,

Are you going to try to make it this weekend?? If so I might need to take you up on the offer for the drums... I wasnt able to get down there this weekend.. And really need to get that place cleaned up.. I heard that they are shutting it down at the first of the year.. I dont know if that is true but I am working on getting things done to help prevent that.. I know a few GRDA guys in the upper realm of the company.. And I am going to try to contact them.. But if you are coming down sunday would you bring the drums...

Spud,

I would say things are iffy at best for us this weekend. I just need to see where we are on getting things done at the new building.

Let me know if I can help by making some calls. I would be more than happy to commit a weekend a month with my boys for some clean up. We owe to ourselves as much as the next guy just because we get to ride there.

Where are you hearing these rumors from? Very reliable sources?

What about printing flyers to put on everyone's vehicles over there? Just to let them know what may come if things don't change. I realilze some of them wouldn't give a flying donkey about it, but surely a good portion of them have a head on their shoulders.

I'll know more at the end of the week if we can make it. If we do make it we could easily bring 6-10 barrels if needed. I'm tired of looking at them behind my shop.

I dont know about the reliability of the rumors but I have heard them from more than one person.. We can kill to birds with one stone on the barrels and put them to good use...I will be trying to contact GRDA this afternoon or sometime this week to get a better Idea of what is really going on and what we can do to deture that action.. Paint up signs of NO RIDING ON THE BLACK TOP.. and PICK UP AFTER YOUR SELF ITS YOUR RIDING AREA AT RISK... That might help.. Everytime you turn a corner that sign will remind some of the hard headed folks.. LOL.. Let me know what you guys got going on.. Thanks for all the help...

Kewl.....I'll get with the guys and find out what our plans are for the weekend. I'll try and let you know something Friday night or Saturday.

Let me know what GRDA has to say too.

What would you think about getting some flyers printed up and handing them out? Possibly putting them on vehicles too?

OK hers the deal..

I talked to GRDA and It is a rumor that could become reallity IF the following isnt done

Trash.. The biggest problem that needs to be address ASAP.. I told them I was working on that..

Drinking.. All the under age drinking and partying going on.. I told them that I would talk to all involved and if that doent work I will call him(patrolman)and have him deal with the problem..

Blacktop racing.. Dangering the lives of the rider and automobile driver that could be caught by suprise..

I asked if I could put the drums and post Warnings to these problems and they said What ever it take to comply with the rules set... As for myself I will turn anyone in If it means the preservation of the riding spot.. But If these things dont get done it will be shut down.. I think he is willing to give us time to improve on these problems.. And he was glad to see riders are looking after there spot.. He also said He would do what ever it take to help us out to preserve the spot.. SO GAME ON... Its time to clean up the place in all aspects...

Sounds like it's black and white to me.

So it wouldn't be an issue to have an officer come on over if drinking is an issue? If so, great. I personally don't have a problem with a cold beer......just at the right time and place.

Sounds like we have the right people on our side. You will get back up from us on the Spud....count on it.
