buck619,
Im from Burton Mi,near Flint Mi.I work not real far from you in Troy Mi.Im a Journeyman Carpenter there. There is a place about 7 miles from my home called the Mounds. It is only 200 acres but it is the closest LEGAL place to ride near you.I also ride with a group of 8-10 other riders from Mi.We usually make group plans to ride up north about one month in advance. If you'd like to try the Mounds some time,im usually there on most Sundays.===Bill

I'm from Kalamazoo, I ride on a couple hundred acres of family/friends land. I also have ridden near White Cloud and Baldwin. I love to ride in the mud and trial ride. The land that I ride on gets really muddy when it rains, but it is best in the spring, then goop gets over the fenders in some spots. I might hold a mud ride this spring if I can get everyone in the famiy to go in on it. We'll see, if it does happen I will invite some, but I do not want the hole country coming.
E-mail me and I will try to send a pic or two.

The Luzerne, Mio Trail system, in my opinion is the best. There is over 200 miles of ORV trails, that you can ride on. You can even ride into town and get gas or eat. I would definately check it out if I were you.
Go to this website, www.michiganatv.com this is a great site for Michigan riders. He has pictures and reviews of alot of trail systems in Michigan. Later.

Was in Atlanta this past Saturday moring. Didn't see many other people, Trails were nice but it was my first time and I dont know the trail system to well. When your on a snowmobile you can go from Atlanta to the Mackinaw bride w/o any problem, on a ATV you cant ride from Atlanta to Hillman (only 20 miles away) Hopefully the ATV trail system can open more over the next few years.

Ya... I dont really belong to any clubs of sort but I do routinely ride with family/friends at our cottage near rogers city. We're right in the midst of the Black Lake State Forest, and only about a 30 minute ride on the back roads to access the atlanta trail... The cops in presque isle county are pretty good about orv's all over the place, but they get mucho-po'ed when u go 213123123 mph on the main roads. I ride on mostly state land but there is some private land that ive been given permmision to cruise around on.

Ive been to mio but didnt stay long as it was in terrible condition and it was pouring rain. Great trails of what ive seen so far. Im only 15 (16 in a few months) but would like to be part of some kind of riding club. email me at rockerc@mediaone.net

My friend Denny and I arrived at Gladwin later than we expected. We arrived around 11;30am.We rode the north loop [about 40 miles].Had a great time.Denny rides a 97 Beartracker 2wd 454 AC.We switched quads for 5 miles or so.The AC is geared realy low and has tons of torque. Its top end is probably around 45 mph.But man,the torque?I was climbing some moderate hills in 3rd gear with his quad. The goofy gear selector was not to my liking though. He enjoyed the effortless time riding my monster too.He liked the thick, plush, and comfortable ride that the Xplorer offered. He said it was like riding a Cadilac. He also said he feared falling asleep on it because it was TO easy to ride.

As Denny and I were riding,my wife calls me on my cell phone.I stopped and told her that if this call were not too important,I'd better leave because MA-MA Bear was chasing me and Denny away from her cubs.[LIE]The phone conversation ended in seconds and Denny and I silently road on.What a polite way to tell your wife to leave you and your quad ALONE.The trails were very passable.I was in Gladwin in June, and it was very wet and muddy.Denny and I had NO problems anywhere. The ride was great.====Bill
