Hatfield McCoy suggestions...
#1
Hello all. I have been riding for several years but I have never been to the Hatfield McCoy trails. I am planning a trip this spring and would appreciated any suggestions on places to stay and which trails you recommend. There will be about 10 people going on this trip. I need ideas for cabins/houses, hotels, or even camping. I would also like some input on which trails offer the best of all types of riding. Most of the people going with us are experienced riders but there may be few riders that are new to the sport. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

E-mail me and I'll give you the info on Hatfield. What to ride and what not to ride. It could get pretty lengthy.

As the trails have expanded, it has given riders more choices on trails to ride. The most popular of the five trails is the Browning Fork Trail. The Browning Fork Trail System consists of approximately 115 miles of trail. It has the largest total amount of trails of each of our trail systems. The breakdown in trail percentage is as follows: 51% are green trails (easiest), 31% are blue trails (more difficult), 11% are black trails (most difficult), and 7% are orange trails (single track only). This trail system has direct access to the city of Gilbert, WV, gas, full service food, and lodging. Gilbert is very ATV friendly. The hospitality of the people and businesses cannot be beat.

When I was down there last june, I was really suprised how reasonable the motel stay was. I stayed at the Roadway Inn in Chapmanville, WV right off 119. At $50/night I had a nice clean room, with cable and broadband internet hookup. For $50 a night... Of coarse, they wasn't very close to any of the trail heads but I planned to visit a different trail each day and it was fairly central to the whole system and 5 minutes from Logan.
I understand there are guys putting up cabins within spitting distance of some of the trails heads and charging even less... I'm inclined to go back where I stayed last year, but if people are building cheap places right near the trails specifically for us, I may have to rethinmk that.
There's all kinds of local vender information on the TrailsHeaven.com website.

Marty and Linda have a great place called Browning Fork Trail House. Great Place.
Hows the dog doing? That thing could eat like you would not believe.
