Nemadji this weekend

Check the MNDNR site before you go. Many of the trails are closed until the middle of May due to the sensitive conditions. Some of the trails might be open. You can also check with the DNR office in Moose Lake to get a status of trail openings/closures in that area.

Heck yeah! We spent quite a few weekends at snake river last year. And we have a hunting shack close to the Nemadji but haven't spent much time riding there. Thanks for the welcome.

MN hasnt gotten around to screwing the neighbors yet....if you have a wi dnr sticker, thats all you need.
Theres a parking lot in danbury wi, about 3 blocks west of the casino, where the gandy dancer trail comes into town. Park there, and just ride north, and over the bridge into mn, and the st croix trail will be on the left, about 4 miles north.
Theres a campground at nemadji, and you can park there. Theres also a small parking area on hwy 23, just south of the ericson township road, if you park there, follow the trail to the west behind the lot, and itll go down some alleys, and end up on that ericson township road. Its legal to ride that road, into nemadji. Keep it under 20 mph, stay on the road, and dont go in the ditches, and the people who live along it will appreciate it.
If the little ones are driving minis, try to go on a weekday, and youll have the whole trail to yourself. The weekends, have lots of faster riders, and it can get kind of tense having the little ones, and maniacs, on the same trail. Make sure you have an adult in front, and behind them, and it should be ok. Another good spot for taking kids, is general andrews, its pretty open and not heavily used.
