Default Black Mountain Rec Park - Putney Trailhead

With all the people coming to the #1 rated ATV Park it sometimes gets crowded...

Incase you don't know, Black Mountain Recreation Park has TWO trailheads...

Harlan County Campground is located on the Putney Trailhead of the Black Mountain Recreation Park, meaning that some of the OHV Parks trails run through the Harlan County Campground. What this means is absolutely no trailering, no blacktop travel, no sharing the road with cars, just hit the trails which are just feet from where your camping, RV'ing, staying in a cabin or parked. It's location is centralized within Harlan County which means if you stay in a hotel your never less than 12 mins from the trails - from any hotel (Harlan or Cumberland) it's a straight shot on Hwy 119 (55 mph all the way). Our staff is on the campground from daylight until almost dark and there is also a trail shop located right on the campground to supply all your trail and snack needs - they even provide Atv rentals. We have 3 acres of parking and 3 acres of overflow parking totaling 6 acres...

Currently we have three brand new rental cabins ranging in sizes from 12x24 to 12x32 - each include AC/Heat, TV w/ DVD, Full Bathroom, Hot Plate, Coffee Maker, Fridge, Microwave, and sleeping from 6-10 people.

We have (16) elec/city water RV hook-ups including 50 & 30 amp hooks ups.

Our RV sites are 30x50 sites with city water and electric located at the edge of a 3.5 acre field - it's all graveled so your not parked in a mud hole. We also have a state legal Dumping Station located just feet away from the RV sites.

Rates: $20 per Elec/Water Site (this also includes free Wi-Fi internet)

We have over 45 tent sites - some are secluded in the woods, while others have beautiful mountain views. (some include water/elec) Most sites have metal fire rings, and have a layer of "pea" gravel for drainage - so you don't end up in a mud hole or with a tent full of water...

Tent Site Rates are $10 per tent - this includes use of our brand new bathroom/showerhouse facility...

Snacks, drinks, camping supplies, fire wood, and even ATV rentals are available right on the campground through the Trail 45 Snack Shack - www.atvrentalsofharlan.com

And gas and real food are available from Putney Crossroads - 2/10th of a mile from the campground and overflow parking areas.
