Well here goes.......started out Sat. morning with the new Breakfast Buffet at the corner cafe........after a short delay......we headed out on our adventure..........picking up backfire and family at putney.........giving us a total of 70 I was told........seen some great country on this great sunny day......a water falls, the largest strip mine I had ever seen in KY.......and much more........we entered the DBT park from the backside to see the Elk out in full force......now we been told that hot chow was at the trailhead office.......no way.......cameras were clicking all over......then down to the office.........where lisa and family had hot dogs, chili, chips and drinks.........yep Da bell even slipped in 3 oreo ***** as well. It really hit the spot for sure. Thanks to all that pitched in on this.
Time was getting short so back to Evarts we went..........but not b4 we got to see a big bull elk.only 20ft off the trail..........yep more pics...........we had lost the sunny day.......uh.....even the sun......so our ride back turned into the 1st polar bear ride for the RR this year. Stopped a few times for warm ups...........it was 28 degrees.......5 min later..........down to 25. All got back to the N. Evarts RV site.....for some hot drinks waiting on us..........thanks to all the lady ridge runners that made this happen as well.
