Going to be in Utah

My friends and I are headed to Brian Head (near Cedar City) in March to snowboard for Spring Break. I am debating whether or not to take my quad with me. I spoke with an ATV tour guide place in Brian Head, but they said that there is too much snow there in March. Does anyone know where I might be able to ride at a lower elevation thats 1-2 hours away from Cedar City? I like to trail ride but prefer to ride dunes. Any info is appriciated.

Sand Hallow or Knab Ut. Both less then 2 Hrs. away Both have great trail riding. But it still will be quite cold there at that time of year. Bundle up.

We go to Sand Hollow State park every year (since it opened, its new), on our way to Vegas to watch the race in March..... No snow, red dune blowsand with trail riding near by. Last year the temps were around 50 degrees.... We were watching it snow in the mountains to the north of us. We will be there again 6 - 8 March. We actually went there for Thanksgiving weekend, it's a 5 1/2 hr drive for us, but worth it during the early fall/early spring months.

I honestly don't know. I would guess late spring, Early fall due to the elevation. Sorry I can't help more. Have you went to Coral Pink? We were debating on going there in march instead of Sand Hollow. To ride some new dunes.... Speaking of dunes, Sand Hollow had some serious peaks in November....

You should look into Pink Corral Sand Dunes. Especially if you prefer dunes. This is SE of Cedar City on the way to Kanab. May be too far for you to travel. If you are driving from Tucson you may be driving right past the dunes but you cannot see them from the highway.

I will be in Brian Head and it looks like its only about 1 1/2 hours to Coral Pink so that is definately close enough. Is there any specific place that I should go once I get there? Are there hills that are more popular than others?
