Anyone riding at Tower City on a regular basis? My co-riders don't ride as often as I do and I am looking to hook up with another rider or group to ride some trails. Pretty much any Friday or Saturday is good for me. I ride an 06 Cat 500 and enjoy everything except some of the extreme hills. This 650lb machine has calmed me down a little on the steeper stuff. Also enjoy camping and a cold beer when the ride is over.

 

Hey whats up. I am a tc member, have been since and before the beginning. I have a campsite with a trailer. I go up about 30 times a year. We have 2 polaris scrambler 500 4x4's and other 2 wheel racing bikes. My son and i don't race anymore and he is now 15 and is loosing interest in going. My wife has to work a lot of weekends.I am now 45 and am slowing down myself.I like to ride my quad now ( only have had it for about 6 months). I live a mile off of 83 between york and harrisburg and it would be great hook up and go. Nothing better than a good ride and a beer with a burger at tc. hey i would like to go up their sometime so if theirs anyone planning on making a trip up their some weekend i wouldn't mind haveing someone show me around a bit and having someone to finaly ride with and not on the back of the quad thanks.

 

Hey tweekin, As you see I go up about 30 times a year. I spend the weekends up there. You are more than welcome to come anytime. I will be going next weekend. I may have to take my cr500 as well so I can keep up. I have been riding my scrambler 500 alot lately. I have been going up there since the 90's long before the club and know my way around, won't mind at all having some one to ride with.

I went to tower city about a month ago and it was ok, except we didn't know our way around to well. I would love to go back with someone who knows where they are going. Oh yea, like like beer too! What a coincidence! Let me know when you are going. Thanks

 

A few of us are going back up on Saturday May 12th. Any Cecil county riders want to follow us up are welcome to come along. We'll leave around 6am to head up, then ride until around 6pm and drive back. I'm in Rising Sun. Russel: If you are there that day I will look forward to meeting you.

Not sure if they weather is going to hold up this weekend. I have plans for fri and sat also. I have been dying to come up there and ride with someone who knows the trails. Last time we spent more time on places we were not suppose to be riding. We ended up riding a trail along the side of the main road,lol.

Also im sure you know this spot. We found a spot were you look out over a HUGE open area across half the mountain. We stopped for a break then took off towards a big area that turned into a construction site. Next thing i know, we are on a road with truck passing us, yelling at us to get out. LOL

We were so lost.

 

It sounds like you may have been what we call "Mt. Everest" which is a long steep hill climb with a fantastic view.
