OK-TX RED RIVER

Red River
MoM,
Have seen OHV tracks at most of the Red River bridges I've crossed but only know of one where you can (could?) park & ride: TX side on Hwy 79 SW of Waurika. Been 2-3 years since we've been down there, don't know if you can still park & ride. Nice area, good for youngsters (altho you still need to watch the younger ones - river channels deep & fast moving), impossible to get lost, combination of sandy river bottom and wooded riverbank riding.
I think there's Red R. access someplace around Burkburnett but haven't found where. There's plenty of tracks in the sand where I-44 crosses.
Several years ago went to Red River Motorcycle Trails, N of Bulcher TX. Large privately owned OHV park on Red R. It was running very high the time we were there but there's plenty of acreage (~3K?) of riding. Think it was $10 per ATV.
Have also seen OHV tracks in the sands of the Cimarron R. N of OKC but haven't found anyplace to access.
Canadian River S of OKC too. There is access via the "campground" behind the race track next to where I-44 crosses. Haven't ridden there, heard they charge $10 to park.
The Elgin/Lake Ellsworth area is okay but not worth the $25 fee IMO.
Spent a week last Sept riding out of Richfield UT -- FANTASTIC! Liked it so much we're going to try to do a week later this spring and another early fall.
