hey, you aren't too far from me. I'm up here in the triad. there's 3 places that I know of. uwharrie national forest, its right off highway 109. its not too bad but kinda rocky. not an awful lot of trails, about 12 miles if I remeber right but some are pretty technical and takes a while to get through. there's brown mountain, they have a web site. its off I-40 little north of mooresville. I've only been there once and looking forward to going back. (uncles trailblazer gave out and we had to call it a day). I only went 11 miles that day but still had a blast. rougly 30 miles of trails there and some great views. other is brushey mountain, close to brown mountain. haven't been there yet but heard its pretty nice. its an offroad/race track for atvs. kinda pricey from what I've heard. its like $25 for the day. uwharrie and brown mountain are only $5 for a day pass. I mostly ride some backwoods trails that start at a buddys house but do go to uwharrie as its not to far from me.

hey i just found this website tonight and joined, looks pretty good, but there is a brand new place that just opened up real close to me called Lake Howser ATV park. It has some pretty good trails (about 9 miles worth) and it's cheap and close to me. I'm in Shelby which is about 35 miles west of Charlotte and the place is just up the road in Boiling Springs. I use to go to Brown Mtn. a good bit years ago. I'm just now getting back into the dirt riding scene myself, as i'm picking up my '08 RZR this Friday and hoping to go riding Sunday. I've always been into dirtbikes, but now i have a 4 year old son, had to get something he and i can enjoy together! I haven't gotten to go to the carolina adventure world yet, but i've looked at there website and it looks awsome!

I'll do it. K Bar M is a super great place to ride too. Almost like riding in Tenn or WV. I've only been there once, because most of my friends want to bring wives, and they have the no two-up rule. My GF has a Hawkeye, so we can go, we just usually don't without our group.
